2020 Audi RS4 Stage 2 – Brake Replacement & Rear Differential Oil Leak

RS4 brake inspection and differential leak diagnosis

This impressive 2020 Audi RS4 Avant with Stage 2 performance upgrades recently visited Kreskas Automotive in Croydon South for new brake pads and disc rotors. During our comprehensive inspection, we also discovered an oil leak originating from a deteriorating rear differential seal. Differential seals can develop leaks over time due to repeated heat cycles, natural wear, internal pressure changes and the demands placed on drivetrain components, particularly in high-performance vehicles.

Targeted differential repairs and preventative maintenance

Fortunately, replacement seals and repair kits are available for certain Audi differential assemblies, allowing targeted repairs without the significant expense of replacing the entire differential. If left unattended, differential oil leaks can lead to reduced lubrication, increased friction and costly drivetrain damage. This is why we believe thorough inspections and preventative maintenance are essential, especially for modified European performance vehicles.
