Toyota GR Yaris Rallye – Akrapovič Titanium Exhaust, Coolerworx Quick Shifter & Project Mu Brake Upgrades
This impressive Toyota GR Yaris Rallye recently visited Kreskas Automotive in Croydon South for a selection of carefully chosen performance upgrades. Powered by Toyota's remarkable 1.6-litre turbocharged G16E-GTS three-cylinder engine and featuring the sophisticated GR-FOUR all-wheel-drive system, the GR Yaris Rallye delivers genuine motorsport-inspired performance in a compact package. The owner wanted to enhance the vehicle's sound, driving engagement and braking characteristics, so we installed an Akrapovič titanium cat-back exhaust system, Coolerworx performance short shifter and upgraded Project Mu brake pads.
The Akrapovič titanium exhaust offers lightweight construction and a distinctive performance exhaust note, complementing the character of the GR Yaris without compromising its underlying engineering. To further improve the driving experience, we installed a Coolerworx quick shifter, designed to reduce gear lever travel and provide a more direct, mechanical shifting feel. This upgrade enhances driver engagement, particularly during enthusiastic driving. Completing the package, we fitted Project Mu performance brake pads, selected to improve braking characteristics and provide consistent stopping performance under demanding conditions. Together, these modifications focus on refining the vehicle's existing strengths rather than simply pursuing additional engine power.
At Kreskas Automotive, we have a particular appreciation for Toyota GR performance vehicles, including the GR Yaris, GR Yaris Rallye, GR Corolla and GR Supra. We provide professional Toyota GR servicing, performance exhaust installation, short shifter upgrades, brake upgrades, suspension modifications, drivetrain maintenance and modified vehicle servicing.
